The Power-Saving Back-UPS Pro 1500 is the newest edition of the APC Back-UPS Pro series of UPSs. This UPS has all of the great features from the previous BR1500 with the addition of a multi-function LCD display on the front and a brand new look. The wattage has been bumped up and the unit is overall more efficient and better looking.
This system is great to protect a home computer set up. You can easily get a PC or two, dual LCD displays, a router, and voip-phone protected from power outages with this UPS. The Back-UPS Pro 1500 has 6 battery protected outlets and 2 surge protected outlets for your convenience. Any hardware that you don't want battery protected, such as a printer, plug in to the surge protected outlets to protect the equipment from damage due to power surges.
The Back UPS Pro 1500 is an extended run time model. An additional battery pack can be added to increase the run time significantly. For example, the BR1500G with a 300W load will provide 21 minutes of run time. The BR1500G with a BR24BP external battery pack with the same 300W load will provide 69 minutes of run time.
